When The Coffee Cup opened in 2010, cafés were not part of Sainikpuri's vocabulary. The room was created to meet a personal need — somewhere to sit, talk and spend time.
Founder Varun Sharma never set out to follow a market trend. Over sixteen years, that small decision shaped how an entire neighbourhood eats, meets and gathers — through expansions, imitators and changing tastes.
In a business defined by rapid turnover, the café’s endurance rests on familiarity, consistency and long-standing relationships with its customers and staff. What began as a personal experiment grew alongside Sainikpuri itself — and regulars will tell you the OG café still lives up to its hype.
